Many professional athletes wear sport tint contact lenses to enhance their visual capabilities. the use of sport tint lenses is growing; especially among baseball players runners and golfers.

    To allow for better differentiation of distances on a golf course, golfers can wear gray-green lenses. Golfer Justin Leonard has commented that the use of the gray-green lenses allows him to even separate every blade of grass.

    Baseball players benefit most from the amber lenses because amber blocks out blue light which is called "visual noise" by vision experts while red colors, such as a baseball's seams, are accentuated. Mark Maquire was and Chipper Jones is a wearer of sport lenses.

    This lens helps reduce glare during competitive sporting events, such as baseball or golf, without having to wear bulky or loose fitting sunglasses.

Amber

Blocks high amounts of blue light to heighten contrast and visual acuity. Particularly useful to improve contrast on grass and against blue skies. Sports: baseball, softball, football, cycling, fishing (especially in waters with grassy bottoms), golf, hunting, skiing, water sports.

Bolle-Blue

Heightens contrast and visual acuity by blocking blue light.
Sports: Football, Tennis

Grey-Green

Heightens contrast (mildly) while preserving color balance and reduces brightness.

Green

Mildly heightens contrast  while preserving color balance.
Application: Use in bright outdoor light

Yellow

Heightens contrast in overcast, hazy, low-light conditions outdoors or for indoor sports. Filters blue light for sharper focus
Sports: Hunting, Football (night games)

Sun-Tac

Reduces overall brightness while preserving 100 percent normal color recognition.
Applications: Great for outdoor sports, especially running.
